Things to Do to Have a Positive Way of Thinking.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

1. Set your mind to be a present unto God in a daily sacrifice to His will. To set your heart to do what it is that He wants to do in you. Verbalize this daily commitment to Him.

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

2. Study the word in an organized program that you choose so that you will find out more about who God is and what He has provided in you to present to Him. Don’t spend all day studying that which is already a problem, but become changed into becoming a blessing even when there are problems.

Ephesians 4:26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

3. Let your anger be known for what it is, a feeling of rejection. Seek to clarify why you are rejected and if not rejected drop it and gain understanding of how others feel or think. Make sure that the anger is resolved quickly and without affront.

4. If you have made someone else feel rejected, go and let them know you are not rejecting them, unless you are, then let them know why.

5. Guard your mouth so that no corrupt words come out of your mouth. Talk as though in front of God on the throne. Say only what is of the truth and make sure you say that in love. Do not give room for making the Holy Spirit grieved at who you are being to others.

6. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, with all malice be put far from you even if you have to give it to God to get rid of it.

7. Be kind to one another, be tenderhearted, be forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. You will never be able to get even, so don’t try.

As you continue in these things, you mind will be at peace and you will have a positive way of thinking.
